MacBook Airの声となったヤエル・ナイム（Yeal Naim）は、フランス生まれのイスラエル育ちで、イスラエル攻防群の兵役を済ませると、「十戒」のミュージカルでモーゼの妹役を演じ、大手レコード会社と悪夢のような契約を結んだ無名のアーティストでした。しかしながら彼女の声がアップルのMacBook Airに起用されてから、大きな脚光を浴びるようになったそうです。本人も「本当に不思議だわ。自分のアパートで作った曲が、どのようにしてアップルの耳に届いたのか検討が付かない。この曲を作った時に大きなヒットになるなんて考えても見なかったんですから。でも、みんなに聞いてもらえて嬉しい。」と驚いているそう。アップルのコマーシャルで使用されている声って無名のアーティストのが多いでにも関わらず、どれも素晴らしいものばかり。iPod touchの声は、プロではなく、18歳の学生が制作してYouTubeに公開されていたビデオをアップルが見て採用してますし、アップルには、人の才能を引き出す力だけでなく、人の才能を見抜く力もあるんでしょうね。*お魚さんは、もっと優しく自由にさせてあげようね♪New Soul
